Road warning Strathgordon

G'day guys, I've just returned from 2 weeks in Tassie and what else can you say about the place except great roads, good food (read I ate way too much!!!) and just hanging out to get back there asap.
One thing to watch out for for maybe the next 2 weeks for anybody venturing out to Strathgordon is a newly resurfaced section about 10km after Maydena as while they have made the surface nice and smooth the roads dept didn't bother to sweep the road once they are done and a fine layer of gravel is lying between the wheel tracks on that section and it got all our attentions when we entered the 1st right hander to find ourselves drifting across onto the right hand side of the road without warning so beware!!!
We had met up with the Tassie Trumpy owners club known as the Rats and we tagged along with them and what a great bunch of guys especially Athol who hosed all of us on a Kwaka KLR650, talk about lean angles, what a nutter!!
